Multi award-winning Melbourne trumpeter Niran Dasika introduces Life Forms, a minimalist album blending contemplative soundscapes with inspired, improvisational textures. Featuring Melbourne pianist Andrea Keller and double bassist Helen Svoboda, Life Forms unveils a sonic journey that embodies Dasika’s fascination with imaginative soundscapes and meticulously honed technique.

The collaborative trio of Erik Griwold, Helen Svoboda and Chloe Kim are known for their spontaneous and vibrant soundscapes. Their debut release, Anatomical Heart, harnesses the unique timbres of prepared piano, bass, drums, and an array of collected objects to craft their distinctive sound.

The Odd River is Finnish-born Melbourne-based bassist vocalist composer Helen Svoboda’s surreal musical evocation of the collision of organic and inorganic, of the natural and unnatural.

Since Subito is the second album by experimental-folk-jazz duo, Meatshell, winners of the 2020 Maastricht Jazz Award. Featuring two of Australia’s most distinctive emerging artists, double bassist/vocalist Helen Svoboda and tenor saxophonist Andrew Saragossi, Meatshell share a curiosity for the subtle beauty of things. Since Subito cultivates unconventional sound worlds, transcending traditional song forms by emphasising the power of story-telling through sound.
